Means for teeth cleaning.

In addition to toothbrushes, you can and should use other means for cleaning your teeth – for example, dental floss, brush-sticks and even ordinary toothpicks.

Dental floss helps when the toothbrush can not be used, although it does not replace the brush, but complements it – with the help of dental floss it is convenient to clean the spaces between the teeth, especially at work, outdoors or on a trip.

Another addition is a brush-stick, which also perfectly cleans the spaces between the teeth, and also helps people with braces, implants. Brush-sticks are made of thin bristles and wires covered with plastic – if desired, it is not difficult to get acquainted closer with their construction. Like brushes, brush-sticks have different shapes and stiffness, and they clean out all the places where the toothbrush does not penetrate.

Toothpicks, perhaps, the most ancient “tools” for cleaning teeth – they certainly used in the Stone Age, in the form of sticks, twigs, etc. In Ancient Egypt, this subject of hygiene was very common – the Egyptians always cared about health and appearance, and used toothpicks made of wood. Today, wooden toothpicks are still popular – they are made of soft wood, but there are also plastic toothpicks, and even metal ones, although it is better to use them as rarely as possible, otherwise there is a risk of injuring of soft gum tissues.

Wooden toothpicks are often deodorized, impregnating their tips with a flavoring agent – strawberry, mint, etc. – it’s more pleasant to use such toothpicks, but they do not become more useful from this. In principle, it does not matter which toothpick you use: the main thing is that you do not have to be too zealous, trying to clean the inter dental space, and do not use instead of a toothpick a needle, ordinary threads and other “improvised means”, risking injure your teeth and gums.
